In the 1970’s when I was at school we had a huge fabric banner at one end of the hall (it needed jollying up!) which I have since found out was by Maija Isola a Finnish designer who designed for Marimekko. I admire Maija Isolas work for its timeless yet considered simplicity. Along with Maija Isola this design uses another 1970s icon the Avocado in bathrooms around the land and filled with tomato sauce on our plates! I know Finland is not Scandinavia but I thought the name Scandi Eggs sounded good!
